Alonso Ríos, writer and teacher, was one of the most representative politicians of the ‘Galeguismo’, and during the exile headed, along with Castelao, the ‘Consello of Galiza’. After the Spanish Civil War, Alonso Ríos fleed from the fascism, disguised as a Portuguese beggar called ‘Siñor Afranio’. Actor Luis Tosar embodies this character in a documentary that combines fiction with the accounts of those who knew Alonso Ríos. This film is based on the autobiography ‘Siñor Afranio, ou como me rispei das gadoupas da morte’.
